The settlement of Gvaot is a renewed settlement which has been in its current form for five years and was established in order to build a community that integrates individuals   with special needs. The community now numbers 45 families, and includes 5 apartments for people with special needs.

When the Sadna moved to the community five years ago, it was joined by 19 families, and over the years, more families who view integration as a way of life joined us.

It requires much thought and planning to build an active, independent and functioning community which, by default, integrates those with special needs into the day to day life of a community. There is a community integration coordinator who is responsible for finding opportunities for integration and ensuring that the Sadna residents maintain an active and central part if the community.
